Dr. Marlon Simpson, Psy.D.

Clinical Psychologist | Neuropsychologist | Psychometrist | Lecturer

Dr. Marlon Simpson is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Psychometrician, Lecturer, and Mental Health Advocate with over 18 years of experience across Jamaica. He is Founder and Clinical Director of Loving Minds Associates Limited, leading a multidisciplinary team providing evidence-based psychological care to children, adolescents, adults, families, schools, and organizations.

He holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University, with advanced training in neuropsychology and psychological assessment. His career includes extensive work with children in residential care, offering trauma-informed intervention, crisis response, and therapeutic programming, alongside consultation with schools, healthcare providers, government agencies, and NGOs to strengthen mental health systems.

Dr. Simpson specializes in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments, including evaluations for ASD, ADHD, learning and intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injury, cognitive and memory disorders, and fitness-for-duty assessments, used for educational planning, workplace accommodations, and medico-legal decisions. He also provides psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and occupational stress, with particular focus on men's mental health and culturally responsive care in the Caribbean.

As an educator and speaker, he delivers trainings and keynotes on mental health, neuropsychology, parenting, and trauma-informed care, and has contributed to public education through media and conferences.

Guided by scientific rigor and compassion, Dr. Simpson is committed, through Loving Minds Associates Limited, to expanding access to quality psychological care and advancing mental health awareness across Jamaica and the Caribbean.

Karlene Murray

Associate Counselling Psychologist

Karlene Murray is a child of God and an Associate Counselling Psychologist (under supervision) with a Master of Science in Counselling from the University of the West Indies, Mona. She holds a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, her preferred therapeutic approach. She believes that changing the mindset changes behaviour and outcomes. As a neurodivergent coach, she helps individuals with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or dyslexia navigate life and career by focusing on strengths and building personalised strategies. She is a member of the Jamaican Psychological Association.

Joseph Thomas

Associate Counselling Psychologist

Joseph Thomas is an Associate Counselling Psychologist dedicated to providing holistic care and support through his professional practice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology with a minor in Guidance and Counselling from the Jamaica Theological Seminary, as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology.

His academic achievements and professional experience have enriched his service, enabling him to integrate faith, counselling, and psychological expertise in meaningful ways. Currently, Mr. Thomas serves with the Jamaica Fire Brigade, providing first-line support for responders, trauma counselling, grief management, and critical incident stress management, individual, couples, and group counselling, addressing a wide range of personal and relational concerns. He is also a Marriage Officer, further extending his service to individuals and families.

In his therapeutic practice, Mr. Thomas primarily applies Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but embraces an eclectic approach when the needs of his clients require diverse strategies. His commitment to compassionate care, professional excellence, and spiritual grounding continues to shape impactful contribution to the field of counselling.

Anna-kay Hall

Associate Counselling Psychologist

Ms. Anna-Kay Hall holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of the West Indies. She completed graduate work at the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, earning an MA in Counseling Psychology, and received a postgraduate certificate in Trauma and Grief Therapy from Northern Caribbean University.

Her primary therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which she uses to help clients manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. She also provides perceptive and empathetic couples counseling, assisting partners in resolving the challenges they face. Ms. Hall takes care to listen compassionately and to collaborate with clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Jason Henry

Associate Counselling Psychologist

Jason Henry is a counselling psychologist who takes a holistic, multimodal approach to therapy. He integrates cognitive-behavioural therapy, somatic mindfulness practices, client-centred therapy, and other evidence-informed therapeutic frameworks to meet each client’s unique needs. His work is grounded in the belief that meaningful therapy begins by meeting people where they are, while honouring the interconnected relationship between mind, body, emotions, and lived experience.

Jason provides psychological services to adults, children, couples, and families. He is committed to creating a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Through thoughtful exploration and practical tools, Jason helps clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen resilience, navigate life’s challenges, and work toward lasting, meaningful change.

Brittney Aiken, MA, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Ms. Brittney Aiken, MA, CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who received a Master of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (United States) in 2012. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2009. Brittney has earned the following certifications: Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Melodic Based Communication Training, and Beckman Oral Motor Protocol. Her areas of specialty are early intervention, autism spectrum disorder, alternative and augmentative communication, and parent coaching. Brittney’s speech-language pathology services provide the options of assessments, treatment plans, intervention services, parent/caregiver coaching during intervention sessions, and carry-over/generalization homework packages. Intervention services can be delivered to the office or at the child’s home upon approved request. The component that makes Brittney’s speech therapy unique is an amplified emphasis of equipping the parent and caregivers with strategies/ skills to self-help the child outside of the speech therapy session, which usually yields an increase of progression rate. Her goal is to help the child, but also to provide knowledge to the village that supports the child. She understands that communication is a survival skill, which is needed for one to successfully thrive in this world. Her true passion is sharing light around the world through speech therapy.

Ricardo Hall

Associate Counselling Psychologist

Ricardo Hall is a dedicated Associate Counselling Psychologist with a strong passion for empowering individuals to achieve optimal mental and physical well-being. With expertise in administering various psychometric tests and assessments, Ricardo provides personalized support to facilitate meaningful growth and self-awareness.

Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, Ricardo primarily employs Person-Centred and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches to foster an effective, non-judgmental space for exploration and healing.

Ricardo's special interests lie in sports psychology, where he supports athletes in enhancing performance, managing pressure, and maintaining a healthy balance between sport and life. He is also deeply committed to promoting mental and physical health among both men and women, recognizing the unique challenges and strengths that each individual brings.

Through his compassionate and evidence-based practice, Ricardo strives to inspire positive transformation, resilience, and overall wellness in those he works with.
